Introduction

ASPIS ships with twelve Steam achievements, and the names and unlock lines are unusually descriptive: several tell you exactly what to do without explaining where. This section groups the confirmed achievements by the kind of task they represent, then gives the practical route for each one. Story milestones are automatic if you finish the relevant scene, the KGB lock is a timed interaction, and a few flags depend on optional behaviour such as listening to a character or walking into the edge of the world ten times. Where official wording was not captured, we say so rather than inventing a twelfth condition.

Achievement Walkthrough

Management Approves

Story milestone

Where or whenComplete the prologue, then re-enter the ASPIS system. The screen cutting away is part of the sequence, so do not restart the game.
TipThis is automatic if you finish the prologue; the only failure mode is quitting during the transition and assuming the achievement was missed. The achievement is a story gate rather than a skill test, so focus on finishing the scene cleanly and letting the transition complete before touching any menus.

That Was Easy

Timed KGB lock

Where or whenThe combination lock in the KGB building. The ninety-second clock starts when you engage the mechanism.
TipScout the surrounding offices and learn the number before touching the lock, then perform the input calmly in one pass. If you fail the timer, finish the attempt, then reload and walk the route again rather than trying to solve the lock under pressure with no plan.

What About That Way?

Boundary test

Where or whenAttempt ten times to exit the game world through its edges. Pick a spot where the geometry visibly ends and repeat with intent.
TipCount your attempts so you know when the flag should fire; random wandering makes it hard to tell whether you are making progress. The flag counts deliberate attempts, so choose an edge that clearly looks like the end of the map instead of a random wall that might be a legitimate doorway.

I Will Stay Here

Hidden listening flag

Where or whenRemain and listen to Maria right after your first meeting. The game does not always present this as a formal objective.
TipSpend an extra minute in the scene instead of walking away; this is one of the easiest flags to miss on a fast story run. Stay in the conversation until the dialogue stops offering new lines; leaving early is the usual reason players have to replay the scene.

Case Closed

Exploration in the tunnels

Where or whenFind Evgeny Kotov somewhere in the tunnels. Official text confirms the location but not his later fate.
TipCheck side passages and junctions rather than following the main route; the search is the objective, not a cutscene trigger. The tunnels are easy to rush because the main path looks obvious, so check the quieter branches before following the brightest corridor.

Keeper of Tales

Return the Keeper's Seal

Where or whenReturn the Keeper's Seal to reveal what the tales hide. The item and the action are named in achievement text.
TipPicking the seal up is not enough; look for the return point and interact with it rather than carrying the item to the credits. Returning the seal is a separate action from finding it, so look for an interactable that matches the item rather than carrying it to the credits.

Family Portrait

Collectible drawing

Where or whenFind the drawing inside the right-hand portal. The side matters, so check both options before committing to a route.
TipIf you see two portals, search the right-hand one before moving on; this is a location flag rather than a skill challenge. Check both portal options before committing; the right-hand side is named in the achievement for a reason, and the wrong side may advance the story.

Let Go / World on Fire

Mutually exclusive ending pair

Where or whenThe final decision. Refusing the deal unlocks Let Go; accepting it unlocks World on Fire.
TipPlan a second pass through the closing section, because a single decision cannot award both achievements in one run. Because both achievements share one decision, plan your second pass before the finale and confirm which autosave you can return to.

Core Mechanics

The achievement list mixes three completion styles. Story achievements unlock as you advance and cannot be failed permanently, provided you finish the scene. Interaction achievements require a specific optional action, such as staying to listen or returning an item, and are the easiest to miss because the game does not always prompt you. Challenge achievements add a constraint: the KGB lock must be solved within ninety seconds, and the boundary achievement asks for ten deliberate attempts to leave the world. Ending achievements are mutually exclusive per run. Before hunting, decide whether you care about a clean first playthrough or a checklist run, because the two styles change how you explore.

Advantages

The advantage is transparency. Steam achievement text is developer-authored, so it gives a reliable target even when a guide is uncertain about the surrounding room. Most conditions are behavioural rather than skill-based: listen, find, return, attempt, choose. That makes them approachable for players who are not good at reflex challenges, and it means a completion run is mostly about paying attention to optional moments. The names are also memorable enough to search, which makes cross-referencing a specific flag much easier than trying to describe a location from memory. The list also rewards different play styles: readers can chase the story flags first and return for the optional listening scenes later, while completionists can plan a single route that covers the timed lock and the exploration finds before the ending choice locks the branch. Because the wording is official, you can verify a claim against the Steam overlay without trusting a stranger's summary.

Challenges

The weakness is that achievement text describes the action but not always the location. The KGB lock, the right-hand portal and the tunnels are named, yet the route to them is left to the player. Several achievements depend on optional scenes, so a fast story run can miss three or four without any warning. The demo period also changed interactions such as X-sphere capture, which means older videos may show the right place but the wrong input. Finally, the public list contains twelve entries while only the captured subset is reproduced here; we do not fill the gap with guesses.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many achievements are there?+
Twelve on Steam. This page lists the nine whose names and unlock text were captured during research, including both ending achievements. If an achievement is missing from our table, that means we did not verify its official wording, not that it does not exist. Use the in-game Steam overlay as the authoritative checklist and treat any guide that invents a condition without quoting official text with suspicion.
Which achievements are easiest to miss?+
I Will Stay Here is the clearest example: it asks you to remain and listen to Maria right after your first meeting, which is easy to skip if you keep moving. Family Portrait depends on finding a drawing inside the right-hand portal, and Keeper of Tales requires returning an item rather than simply picking it up. The ending pair is also mutually exclusive per run, so you cannot collect both without replaying the final choice.
Does difficulty affect achievements?+
Official material does not describe difficulty settings or difficulty-related achievements, so there is no documented reason to choose a harder mode for completion. The confirmed list is built around story progress, optional interactions and one timed lock. If a future patch adds difficulty-specific achievements, that would be a new fact and should be checked against the Steam list rather than assumed from other horror games.

Quick Tips

💡

Before you leave a room with a named character, ask whether the scene is offering an optional listening beat. I Will Stay Here is triggered by remaining with Maria after the first meeting, and the game does not always make that feel like a formal objective. Spending an extra minute in scripted conversations is cheaper than replaying a chapter.

💡

For That Was Easy, scout the KGB lock before interacting with it. The ninety-second clock begins when you engage the mechanism, so knowing the number and the input order first turns a reflex test into a short scripted action. If you trigger it too early, finish the attempt calmly and plan a reload rather than rushing and making the same mistake twice.

💡

Treat the boundary achievement as a deliberate experiment, not an accident. What About That Way? asks for ten attempts to leave the game world through its edges, so pick a spot where the geometry visibly ends and repeat the action with intent. Random wandering may eventually work, but a counted routine makes it obvious when you are close.
